His name is Diontae Duane Simpson, born in Inglewood, California. He is the middle child of his mother, and the youngest of his father. Conceived of love, his mother, Constance Harmon, AKA "Dolly", with beauty, passion, and pride, played "The Man", raising him single, to be the best "he", he could possibly be, with compassion and respect. His father, Stanley Simpson, AKA "Stan The Man", with quiet understanding and patience, played the Hero, for being present from a distance, and never leaving him in want or need. Inspired by his older brother of 11 years to play sports, and influenced by his mother to be a performer, Diontae developed an honest, competitive nature that speaks to his will to win, and an imagination for writing, a love for music, and a passion for performing, that speaks to his drive to create. His childhood dream was to be an NBA superstar that did movies and made music, but now, his dream is to honor his Father, by being a Hero to his son, and a model that children follow. Diontae began studying Acting at Long Beach City College in 2015, with Professional Actor, Tony Carreiro, and Julliard Grad, Gregory Mortensen. After Hit Shows, like "A Soldier's Play" by Charles Fuller and "Really Really" by Paul Downs Colaizzo, both Directed by Tony Carreiro, Diontae earned an Irene Ryan Nomination, and a trip to the 2017 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Mesa, Arizona. There, he performed as "Cooper" in "Really Really", and received a CSU Summer Arts Scholarship to Fresno State, where he took a Camera Acting course with Hal Masonberg, Vicki Goggin, Dan Shaner, and Susan Abbey. He also Won a National Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Award for Distinguished Performance in a Play. Since then, Diontae has been managed by Jayne Kell, and represented by Stella Alex and The Savage Agency. He got his first Professional Acting job working on a trailer for an independent feature Film called "Make The Moon", directed by USC Film School Alum, Alex Munoz. Diontae is enthralled to begin the journey of his dream, and aims to succeed. He loves his family, romantic comedies, and positive energy. He wants to be loved, needs to be great, and will go out happy, knowing that he put his heart and soul into accomplishing everything he believes he can accomplish.
