David Olson

David Olson is a filmmaker based in Asia working mainly on films, commercials, and music videos. He began filmmaking at seventeen, after teaching himself film editing while finishing high school. During his commercial career he has worked for brands such as Pepsi, FedEx, Guess, and Volvo and has filmed music videos for artists like Keiko Necesario, Mica Javier and others. He has presented his latest directorial film effort 'The Dust In Your Place' at the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival (Philippines) as part of its Official Selection in 2021. He has worked as Director of Photography and Editor on the documentary 'The Price of Truth' by Sandbox Productions, and the film 'Makeover' by Santiago Larrauri, presenting the latter worldwide at film festivals including the Hollywood Golden Age Film Festival (USA), Florence Film Awards (Italy), Berlin Short Awards (Germany), Montreal International Film Festival (Canada) and Venice Shorts (USA) where he picked up the award for Best Editor.
