Lewis William Robinson is a multi-award-winning filmmaker from Harrogate, North Yorkshire. He studied at Ashville College and attended the MetFilm School at Ealing Studios, London, where he graduated. Film and television have been a passion of his from a young age. In 2017, he made his graduate short film, Forgotten, which explores the relationships with Alzheimer's disease, raising awareness of its effects. The film had some success, even going as far as qualifying for a BAFTA Award and competed against an Oscar-winning short film at other film festivals. A year later, he followed up with, Addiction, a short film he self-funded, focusing heavily on drug abuse and its effects on families. It was a story mixed with the different perspectives he witnessed in the past and present. It brought new challenges to face, bringing back some of the cast and crew from his first film to his hometown, in the North, a different territory to London. It had the premiere at the Home Cinema in Manchester, with a successful festival run. Lewis wrote and self-funded his third short film, Big Stack. It was shot during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, following strict safety protocols to ensure everyone worked in a safe environment. They were able to accomplish this with zero infections. Continuing to progress his skills as a writer, with his love for storytelling, Lewis has finished four feature film scripts, one of which is currently in pre-production and the first film he will be producing on his own. It will be in a block of four, with filming days of four every three to four months to plan and save more money in between while working.
