Adam Swain Ferguson was born on May 14, 1985 in Southern Pines, North Carolina, USA as James Adam Hinesley. He is a director, producer and writer, known for Patrick (2021), Kombucha Cure (2020) and Velvet's House Party (2020). He has been married to Kevin P. Ferguson since 2013. Adam has always loved film but wasn't always aware it was his calling; spending the early years of his career in legal services, real estate, and property management. However, after settling in the greater Los Angeles area in 2017, he immediately fell in love with the entertainment industry and became involved with several independent film projects. Although his first on-set experience was as an actor, Adam soon discovered he was more interested in the action occurring on the other side of the camera, so he began volunteering in various departments to broaden his knowledge and skills. In addition to directing and producing, Adam has also worked as a Production Assistant, Assistant Director (1st, 2nd, and 2nd 2nd), Props Manager, and Script Supervisor. These experiences eventually influenced Adam's return to school to earn his Bachelor's degree in Entertainment Business; during which he completed 2 internships working for local talent representation services. Adam also holds a Master of Arts degree in Producing from the New York Film Academy. Eager to create and produce his own content, Adam launched the production company, FFS Films with his long-time friend and collaborator, Caitlin R. Williams in 2019. The following year, he and Caitlin finished production of their debut project, "Patrick" - a 23 minute short film directed by Adam, that he also co-wrote and produced alongside his partner, Caitlin. The film is inspired by true events from Adam's life, and has won over 40 film festival awards including best LGBTQ Film, Best Screenplay, and Best Director.
