Pranay Noel

Pranay Noel is a narrative filmmaker with a BFA and MFA in Film Production from York University, Toronto. His works are realistic character-driven drama/comedies often centered around coming of age stories. Born in Mumbai, raised in Mississauga, identity and legacy are key themes in his MFA thesis work. He is inspired by the work of Kenneth Lonergan, Mike Leigh, John Casavettes, Kelly Reichardt, Satyajit Ray, and the Dardennes. He has an improvisational shooting sensibility and loves camcorders.
