From music and videography to screenwriting and acting, there really is no threshold to Jaron Ikner's creative endeavors. Redefining the definition of a modern day "Renaissance Man," Ikner takes pride in his self made approach towards vivid creations and concepts. Short films, music videos, and interactive novellas are just the tip of the iceberg for the rising star from the southwest. Jaron's unorthodox approach towards his work is unparalleled, from having his face drawn hundreds of times by anonymous people from Reddit, to creating a "multiverse" with different characters and accompanying musical releases. There really is no way of telling what direction he will go next. Playing Jesus in "The Last Days of Judas Iscariot" or writing popular articles for respected publications, Ikner is never one to let himself be contained to any boxes. With experience including organizing and hosting over 500 shows, mostly through Tucson's longest running hip-hop event, Chronicles, performing alongside respected names like Big Boi of Outkast, Talib Kweli, Freddie Gibbs, and Curren$y, shooting and directing 50+ music videos, providing creative consultation for RAW papers, cultivating marketing direction for Universatile Music and more than 20 articles written for the likes of the Phoenix New Times and MEOW Magazine, Jaron Ikner is already considered to be one of the most respected urban artists out of the state of Arizona. That only continues to grow when you begin to truly analyze his creative ventures: As Black One, Jaron has released multiple well-received studio albums over the last 7 years, garnering him thousands of streams and downloads. His talents were utilized as a producer on the Phoenix made film, The System. He also curated the 2018 Tucson Hip Hop Festival to stellar reviews. With three feature films and a TV Pilot written, Jaron is looking to dive back into writing. Jaron's trajectory is simply unknown at this point, as it is clear that the way he operates has only been achieved by a talented few. While often compared to the likes of Donald Glover or Kanye West, Ikner refuses the consideration of being "the next" one of those artists, rather the "first Jaron Ikner." His only goal at this point is to continue to connect with like-minded individuals while increasing his presence and impact on an ever changing world.
