Avichai Assouline

Avichai Solomon Assouline is a New York City based Writer/Director. Originally from Jerusalem, he studied filmmaking at the Sam Spiegel Film School while working as a counselor for at-risk Hasidic youth and a journalist in one of Israel's leading newspapers. His first novel was published in 2009 when he was 20. In 2014 he relocated to the United States and soon after began the Screenwriting/Directing Film MFA program at Columbia University in New York City.
