Ally Nikolaus

Ally Nikolaus is a screenwriter and an award- winning filmmaker. She has an MFA in Screenwriting from DePaul University in Chicago, where she is also a graduate of The Second City Theater's Conservatory and Music programs. Ally loves writing stories that reflect real and authentic characters inspired by everyday life . Her short film, "8,000" won best LGBTQ+ film at the 2021 Women's Comedy Film Festival in Chicago and was nominated for three other awards at several different film festivals nationwide. She also founded "Turn Your Page", a coaching business that helps writers' level up and get their work out into the world. She works with writers all over the world. She is also an author and has helped independent filmmakers crowdfund over $27,000 for their projects, as well. Ally's storytelling talents cross multiple genres and formats. In addition to writing, Ally is a seasoned singer and actress. What that variety has in common though is heart, grit, determination, and teamwork. Her mission is to work closely with other writers and creators to bring more unique, minority voices to our screens.
