David Scotton

David J. Scotton was placed for adoption after his birth mother left an Indiana abortion clinic in 1993. At the age of 19, David decided he wanted to meet his biological family he's never known to thank them for giving him life and choosing adoption. David is the subject of the short documentary, I Lived on Parker Avenue ("ILOPA"), produced by Joie De Vivre Media and Philip Braun Productions, LLC, showing the real-life journey to meet his birth parents. Over the past several years, David has spoken at hundreds of events for ILOPA, appeared on nationally syndicated radio and televisions programs and has shared his family's adoption story across the country--a story which has now inspired the movie, Lifemark, produced by Kirk Cameron and the Kendrick Brothers. Lifemark releases September 9, 2022, in theaters nationwide. David is also a practicing attorney in the New Orleans, Louisiana, area and active speaker with Premiere Speaker's Bureau sharing his family's story, ILOPA and Lifemark.
