Ivan Dimitrov

Ivan Dimitrov is a Bulgarian award winning poet, playwright, short story writer and novelist. He has published 6 books. As a playwright he has first premiere in The New Ohio Theatre with the play "Eyes of others". His second novel "Sofia duet" was dedicated to he capital of Bulgaria Sofia and was nominated for the European Union Prize for Literature in 2017. He has won different contests with his poetry, short stories and plays and was named "The poet of Sofia" in 2013. Ivan Dimitrov is also musician and photographer. He is performing his text with a guitar and loop station, improvising music as he reads his own works. He is living in the capital of Bulgaria (Sofia). He is also working on movie scripts and has done screenwriting for different Bulgarian televisions. "Ship in a room" is his first movie.
