Sanford Williams is a Nuu Chah Nulth/Canadian career master carver. Williams was inspired by his artistic relatives, notably his uncle, the late Chief Dominic Andrew. After surviving residential school, Sanford Williams graduated high school in 1985 then attended and completed the Gitanmaax School of Northwest Coast Indian Art program at Ksan in Old Hazelton, British Columbia. He has since carved for The Bill Reid Gallery, Canucks for Kids Fund, BC Children's Hospital, and several galleries and art exhibitions in Canada and the United States.
