Ryan Millis, originally from Minnesota, is an actor and writer with split time between Los Angeles and New York City. Through his training--including master class training with Susan Aston in New York City--he discovered how to most fully live into the truth of the acting craft through the use of Meisner Technique and Linklater Vocal Training. Having triple majored in Theater Arts, Film, Television and Interactive Media, and Communication Studies at Brandeis University with a minor in Creativity, the Arts and Social Transformation, Ryan has a strong basis in both theatrical and filming elements both in front of and behind the camera and audience. His favorite roles have stretched him in versatility and required him to play multiple characters within one play, including Jimmy, Chad, and Dave from Almost, Maine, AP in columbinus, and Brad, Belgian, Albert in One Hot Kitchen. As a writer, his most cherished accomplishments are all three of his newest written pieces being put up Fall 2018 at the American Theatre of Actors: Everyone's Having Great Sex But Me (Industry Pick), F Is For F**, and Never Too Old For This. His prized success as a writer is his first one-act play, Love Imitates Art, which went up at The Barrow Group Theatre and was voted the industry favorite. Then, at Manhattan Repertory Theatre, the piece became a finalist. He also starred in and co-directed the piece.
