Sam Robles was born on August 23, 1993 in Southern California. He is a writer, director and producer known for his feature length film Static. His first short film was of sci-fi action involving 2 future soldiers (played by himself and a friend) then age 12. Throughout his early teens, and after entering high school, Robles continued to make amateur video tape "adventure" films using his father's VHS camera. His parents were split while Robles attended middle school and would later divorce in 2013. In 2010 Robles took a job as a waiter to raise money to buy his own video camera. In 2011 Robles (then 17) wrote and directed a 15 minute short film he titled "Vital" a suspense thriller. The film was made for $20 and won "best short film" at a film festival for college students. After attending High school in Texas for 4 years Robles would start his video production company "Sinister Kid Studios" providing the music video service for low budget independent musicians through 2012. Robles (then 18) toured with multiple rock bands across America for 2 years for his feature documentary "Before the Encore" that would go on to win best Independent Documentary across multiple film festivals. In 2013 Robles wrote and directed his short film titled "Ellie" a suspense drama that would later win Best Short Film at Worldfest Houston. "They say to never work with animals and children so I did both." ELLIE starred then 12 year old actors Brendan Pentecost and 5 year old Parker McEnroe as well as his black lab. In 2014 Robles took a job working in oil refinery towers to raise funds for his next project titled "Planet Republic" a comedy TV series about a failing tabloid magazine "that uncovers the mysteries and conspiracies the government doesn't want you to know about." Robles wrote Planet Republic in high school re-adapting his previous short film script from middle school, then titled "The Press". Planet Republic follows the lives of a small time failing tabloid magazine trying to stay afloat while investigating mysteries and conspiracies around the world. In 2016 Robles was brought on, by the well known beauty company CHI, to produce and direct a series of broadcast television ads for all major brand launches. This career turn into the beauty and fashion industry landed Robles a series of commercial launch projects in 2017 with established brands such as, Biosilk, Miss Universe, Fantastic Sam's and Esquire Magazine. In the spring of 2020 the Covid 19 Pandemic brought everything to a halt but that did not stop Sam from making the best of a mandatory quarantine. Sam independently produced children's educational programming to help parents continue the school year curriculum with the web series "Nova Knows". In the spring of 2021 Sam wrote and directed his debut feature length film "Static".
