J. W. Kitson (John Smith) is a veteran educator with nearly thirty years of experience in both his local school district and Kent State University. He has spent the vast majority of his career teaching at the middle school and junior high grades, and he holds two master's degree in education. He has spent numerous years traveling to various conferences to present information relevant to education and technology. He is also the winner of several distinguished awards for his academic and community activities. An award-winning author and film producer, he was one of the co-producers for the documentary: Gateway to Hope: Overcoming Heroin (an Official Selection by the International Christian Film and Music Festival in 2019); co-producer for Gretchen's Lock, Unwavering, and Beast of Our Fathers; and now his award-winning novel Song of the Tree Frogs is slated for release in 2020 as a feature film. It was selected as "Best Trailer" by the International Christian Film and Music Festival, as well as being nominated as "Most Inspirational Movie of the Year." J. W. Kitson resides in the historic city of East Liverpool, Ohio with his amazing and beautiful wife (Connie), his beautiful and talented daughter (Madison). They also have a very talented "adopted son" (Matthew), who appears on two books covers (People from the Lake and the new edition to Song of the Tree Frogs (released in 2020)).
