Rory Thompson is a 21-year-old Black filmmaker born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a double major in Digital Media Production and Media Studies with a minor in Film Studies. Growing up with a passion for stories and storytelling, Rory quickly fell in love with video storytelling via film and television. At the age of 10, he started making home movies and stop motion videos. At the age of 17, he made his first short film, "Fourth of July". Since then, Rory has worked with various sports organizations including the Jacksonville Sharks, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, the Jacksonville Giants, the St. Augustine Glory, and Flagler College Athletics. He has also independently produced music videos and worked on short films.
