Cassandra Moselle was born in Seattle, WA (Ballard). Her mother, Linda, was a waitress, & her father, Steve, was a Teamsters Member through the garbage industry (they divorced after 14 years). She's the oldest of three children. As a child, Cassandra was in love with theater & started taking acting classes at a young age. Other extracurricular activities included being on a bowling team, baseball team (left field), & soccer (goalkeeper/forward). She completed her A.A. at Shoreline Community College, through the Running Start Program in high school, before transferring to the University of Washington to complete a B.A. in Drama, English: Creative Writing Emphasis, & Women Studies. She took to the high seas & spent time as a Merchant Mariner before receiving a scholarship to study Italian at the University for Foreigners in Perugia, Italy. She returned to Italy to complete an M.F.A. in Physical Theater at Accademia dell'Arte (Arezzo) where she studied Commedia dell'Arte, devising/ensemble, & clown. She's trained at Scuola di Circo (Turin) specializing in fan juggling (loved partner acrobatics as well), Familie Flöz (Berlin), & Divaldo Continuo (Czech Republic). As a burlesque performer she's performed at burlesque festivals across US, Canada, & Europe including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She's won Most Comedic (Lake Como, IT), Most Innovative/Most Haunting (Portland, OR) for her burlesque routines. She returned to Seattle & became a caregiver to her father who was suffering from Liver Failure. During 2020, Cassandra, her father, & her partner drove to the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix to try a last ditch effort to get him a double transplant. She's very grateful that a stranger checked yes to become an organ donor because without them her father wouldn't have made a full recovery. While in Phoenix she discovered a love of horseback riding & trained to ride several days a week (Western & Hunt). To stay creative she penned 4 plays & received a grant from the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture for her Interactive/Immersive play: Parlor House: Panic of 1893. Since the transplant, Cassandra got her dad home safely (he even adopted a dog) & she was accepted into the Conservatory Program at Second City and the Core Track for The Groundlings.
