Rosie is a biracial Chinese Canadian actor and filmmaker based on the traditional lands of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, colonially known as Vancouver, Canada. She graduated from Vancouver Film School's acting program and continues to hone her craft at Jeb Beach & Associates. Rosie is the Writer and Co-Director of the award winning short film 'Esther & Sai', a tender portrait of two immigrant women who meet at nursing school in 1976 in which she also plays her late mother Sai Choo. Rosie's television credits include Batwoman and Resident Alien, and her theatre credits include 'Controller' at Upintheair Theatre's rEvolver Festival and 'Attachments' at Rumble Theatre's Tremors Festival. Rosie is fluent in Mandarin and has previously lived in Singapore, Beijing and Shanghai. She is a trained classical pianist and an avid dancer (jazz and hip hop). A passionate environmentalist and mental health advocate, Rosie also volunteers her time with the non-profit organizations Student Energy and Art With Impact. She loves thrift stores, libraries and swimming in the ocean.
