Catarina David

Catarina David is a young female cinematographer from Porto, Portugal. She was born in 1990 and grew up around the TV set and cinema theaters. She had an Arts education and completed a Masters in Cinema and Audiovisual Studies at Catholic University in Porto. She is passionate about film and photography and loves all types of music. She is particularly into hip hop which got her to join forces with with Francisco Noronha to make their first full-length film about the history of rap in her hometown Porto. She worked in the audiovisual team in different national festivals, such as FEST - Film Festival in Espinho, and Porto Post Doc. Documentary is still one of the areas that she tries to pursue.
