Alexander was born in Langley, British Columbia, son to Shelly Baxter and Jason Baxter. His mother is a head of hair and makeup in the film industry and his father the General Manager at Accurate Aluminum Ltd. Raised by a large family of English academics, Scottish business tycoons, and artistic Romanian Gypsy's, Alexander took the entertainment industry with an unshakable passion, one that would carry him out of his introverted nature and into the light of endless possibilities. With nothing more than a camcorder and a young, unfiltered vision, he spent his days adventuring as a boy, creating wild and ambitious films that would, without his knowledge, be the inception of a far greater purpose, that he would not discover again until his mid to late teen years. Taking to training as an actor at 14, he continued out of his high school acting years into Capilano University, taking the: Acting for Stage and Screen Diploma, and then onto the Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts, taking their: Motion Picture Arts Diploma. With an overwhelming passion for storytelling, Alexander found himself quickly taking to other mediums to further push his understanding and purpose not only within Film and Television but throughout other artistic professions. Ever hungry for knowledge and a greater understanding of the depths of performance, Alexander is a follower of the belief system "Never stop learning, never stop growing.", and holds that standard within himself, and those he chooses to surround himself with. This mindset led Alexander to continue his training with renowned Vancouver acting coach: Deb Podowski, who pushes her performers to be the best they absolutely can be. Alexander was cast in DC Legends of Tomorrow and Man in the High Castle upon first entering the acting industry. Throughout that period, he spent the next two years working on various film sets behind the camera on shows such as Supergirl, Batwoman, Sabrina, and Away, furthering his knowledge as a filmmaker in any way he could. At the peak of 2019, Alexander Directed his first horror short film: Mister Seeker, which would go on to win an audience choice award at Blood n' Guts 2019, which propelled Alexander to write and direct another horror short film titled: Skinner, merely one month later. Working alongside many fantastic filmmakers on the shows mentioned above, Alexander called in all of his relations and connections from across the board to come together and create a unique horror film that was conceptualized and written in under three weeks. Jikirag was Alexander's brainchild, forming from the immeasurable depths of his overthinking brain, leaving him with a film that would have everyone encapsulated from the beginning to the end of principal photography. Channeling the teachings and works of his predecessors and role models, Alexander began forming his methodology and style in directing through the juggling of many hats, from Director to actor, writer, and producer. The dark and the dramatic have always surfaced in Alexander's work, as though the concept of being an "older soul", as some would put it, left him at an early age with a mentality that would have him being the oldest twenty-three-year-old director that had ever walked upon a film set and held a standard so high, most would question the factualism of his age. At the beginning of this first feature film, Alexander went on to found Constellate Films, a Canadian based production company with the goal of producing original horror, drama, dark comedy, and fantasy pictures across both film and television. To be inclusive, unanchored by societal requirements, Constellate pushes to set a global standard for equality, both in front and behind the camera. Alexander founded Constellate Films to be a place where he could not only showcase his own talents as a director, writer, producer, and actor, but also to create a foundation for dreamers to stand on for years to come. Moving into 2020 and 2021, Alexander is currently in development on the script for a 1970's original horror limited series, and his dark medieval fantasy series, before moving on to the next ten projects he has in their early conceptual phases. Alexander's passion is as a storyteller, wanting to push boundaries in his industry.
