Brianna Martinez (she/her) is an actor based in NJ/NYC. She is a member of the Actors Equity Association's "Equity Membership Candidate Program" (EMC). She is from a small town in North New Jersey just outside of NYC. Growing up, she found excitement and comfort in watching blooper/gag reels of her favorite TV shows and movies, such as The Nanny, Will & Grace, etc. With these reels as inspiration, Brianna participated in her first musical at the age of eight and has been formally training as an actor both in the classroom and on the stage/set for over a decade. She recently graduated summa cum laude in May of 2020 with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Performance, with a minor in Communications from Kean University (Union, NJ). While at Kean, Brianna gained further experience in musicals, straight plays, television production, commercial work and was awarded a talent-based, full scholarship to The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. There she studied acting for the camera and continued to hone this skill through "cinematic sketch comedies," produced by Four's A Crowd Productions, of which she was a member. The Kean Theatre Conservatory honored Brianna with the Director's Award for "Maintaining a high level of rehearsal and performance technique" for their 2018-2019 season. They also awarded her the Lenore Vaughn Eames Award for "Three years of distinguished service to theatre" for their 2019-2020 season. Brianna continues to work with professional regional theatre companies and can often be spotted in many different types of on camera work.
