Dylan Francis Calvi is the acting name for the writer, director, producer Doug Kaufman. This name is an homage to his his biggest fan, his mother, who passed away suddenly in May 2017 at 64 years old. When Doug was born, his mom goofed on his name and didn't realize for several days. What she said was Doug but what was meant to say was Dylan. Once she noticed the mistake, she decided to keep the name. Francis is from her favorite singer, Frank Sinatra, Francis is the Italian / Sicilian version. Calvi is Doug's Sicilian heritage last name from his great-grandfather. This name is used only when Doug appears in front of the camera. Even if he's directing & acting, it will be listed as 2 different names in the credits.
