Danny Wagner

Ever since his first film at 5, "Super Danny Vs. Lazerin" (rated very highly by his Mom and Dad), Danny Wagner has had a fondness for filmmaking and storytelling. It lingered in LEGO animations and in horror spoofs shot during Saturday night sleepovers, eventually bursting out with his first short films at the University of Virginia, where he pursued a major in Media Studies. His work spans fantasy and documentary, 16mm film and iPhone 6, wearing many hats along the way. Danny has worked for Warner Brothers Television, AMBI Distribution, arvold.casting, the Sun Valley Film Festival, and many other companies on a freelance basis including Trilobite-Arts DAC and Rude Horse Productions. His first large-scale project as a writer was "Blank Window," a web mini-series in four parts, two of which he also directed. Danny has had films in the New York Lift-Off Offscreen Festival, The Lift-Off Sessions, multiple films screen in competition at the Virginia Film Festival, and was a finalist in the SmartPhilm Festival. In 2018, Danny co-founded the production company Big Finch with his childhood best friend Aspen Miller for the purpose of developing and producing projects for film and television.
