Jay James

Jay James is a Minnesota based actor, writer, producer, and the lead singer/songwriter for the experimental rock band "Slowspeed". His production company, "Supersonic Productions", was founded in 2010, starting off as a Youtube Channel known for superhero fan films and original shorts Jay wrote, directed, acted in, and edited himself. Known for participating in mostly student films and local festivals such as the Minnesota Zfest and 50/50, Jay has also starred in the feature comedy film "Free Wealth" which is slated for a 2019 release date. So far in his career James has received one nomination for Best Actor in Distant Calling Pictures "Kung Fu Kanoe" at the 2018 50/50, and has been a co-writer on short films, "Broken" and the short documentary about Slowspeed's most successful performance (so far), The Pourhouse Performance, which he also produced and starred in. Slowly making his was up in the industry, Jay hopes to work as a full fledged artist, even being in talks to score a couple of short films with the help of his most frequent collaborator, Dakota Miller of CNT Films.
