Amanda Walther

Amanda Walther is a Juno nominated singer-songwriter from Toronto, Canada. She has spent most of her career as half of Canadian folk-roots duo Dala, best known from their PBS special 'Girls from the North Country' and for being the only Canadian act invited to play the 50th anniversary of the Newport Folk Festival. Amanda Walther attended OCAD U in Toronto until Dala was signed to Universal Music Canada in 2005 and released their first album. In 2014 she was contacted by director Isabel DelRosal to be involved in her first feature film. As composer for the film Walk With Me (Brooklyn NY), Amanda wrote all of the original music for the score and performed each song for the soundtrack. She also composed the original songs performed by the lead character in the film.
