Marvin Bedward

Marvin Bedward was born in Kingston Jamaica and moved to Ottawa Canada at the age of two. His father Ven, was an accountant /entrepreneur and mother, Nessa, a nurse and author in Ottawa. He comes from a very entrepreneurial family, of four boys, his grandparents having started a dry cleaning enterprise which has grown to be one of the largest in his hometown. In attended primary and secondary school in French. A avid sport enthusiast, he played competitive hockey and was on the high school, basketball, soccer, volleyball and handball track and field teams. He has had a varied career as a model, an art dealer, entrepreneur, magazine and book publisher, licensing agent, business writer, musician, songwriter, producer, international business consultant and senior public servant in the Canadian government. Marvin has produced two music EPs and presently working on three new productions, as well as two children books and a comic strip with his cartoonist friend Brian Fray. He continues to run his AI company and invest in start-ups. Married to Annik Despres, a fine artist, he has two adult children Maya (a Film Director and Producer) and Antoine (PhD Candidate). Marvin and his wife now lives in Prince Edward County, Ontario an upcoming wine region.
