Pete Berger, born Pascal Berger, is a director, actor, cinematographer and editor known for The Crow's Head (2018), Liftoff (2020) and Gramophone (2021) . Berger was born in Zurich (Switzerland) in 1974, where he grew up and now lives with his wife and children. At 7 years old, Berger began making short movies with his father's VHS Camcorder. During his studies in geography Berger regularly practiced acting and filming together with his best friend and edited his first short films. Since completing his studies at the University of Zurich (2003), Berger has continued to specialize in the production of short films. He not only writes and directs his films, but also takes on the roles of cinematographer and editor. In his dialogue-less short films, Berger stages himself as an ape-like, patriarchal creature who pulls the wool over the eyes of real-life, young female models and influencers.
