Nolan grew up on Prince Edward Island, Canada's smallest province, in a town called Montague. He majored in History at minored in film at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. It was while studying film that Nolan discovered his passion for screenwriting. He currently lives in the Greater Toronto Area with his wife and son.
