Rui Niu

Rui Niu is a L.A. based director/production designer born and raised in China. After finishing her medical degree, Rui decided to pursue her filmmaking dream in L.A. As a multi-talented creative artist, Rui Niu has a name for herself as production designer, colorist, pianist, writer and director. She production designed 19 short films as well as directed 3 short films during 2018-2019. Until now, her latest film "Abortion Mary" is selected into 16 film festivals, including New Filmmakers Los Angeles, Santa Cruz Film Festival, Sick'n'Wrong Film Festival, Nihilist Film Festival etc. And won 5 awards, including "Best Experimental Film", "Best Student Film" etc. Rui Niu is working her way as a director and production designer in L.A.
