Born in El Salvador and raised in California, Lidieth Arevalo is an activist and independent filmmaker with a Master of Fine Arts degree in documentary filmmaking at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. She has produced several short documentaries on identity, social justice, diversity and inclusion, as well as immigration issues. Her recent work emphasizes the importance of ethnic studies curriculum at the High School level and the bi-national experiences of undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children. Some of her most recent documentaries include Alpharaoh (2019), Ladylike (2019), Advance Parole (2018), and ERUSD Leader of the Ethnic Studies Revolution (2018), and Sin Raiz (2015). She is the founder and director of Alyson Studios, a photography, video production, and graphic design business serving the greater Los Angeles area. Under Alyson Studios she has produced commercial work for a variety of individuals, companies, institutions, and organizations, including: El Rancho United School District, Long Beach Unified School District, CSU Long Beach, the City of Long Beach, Chapman University, CultureStrike, among others.
