A lifelong cinephile, Chantel Marie Fox was born in Boise, Idaho, USA on June 22, 1978. She came about her love of the industry at an early age when her parents operated a video rental store. When business was slow she spent long hours reading the movie blurbs and being enthralled or terrified by the box art and promotional materials. On days the store was busy she was relegated to the back room where she would watch movie, after movie, after movie. This routine would continue into the evenings as her parents would bring home multiple titles a night so they could be well versed enough about them to offer informed opinions to their customers when asked. As Chantel grew so did her love of film, eventually leading her to become a devotee of the horror genre with a deep appreciation for B-horror specifically. Chantel expanded on her knowledge and love of the art form by pursuing a certificate in Media Production and Cinema Studies while simultaneously earning three separate undergraduate degrees with a BA in Journalism, Communication, and English from Boise State University. Chantel also began dancing at an early age eventually becoming trained in multiple styles of dance including hip-hop and various forms of belly dance. This lead to a brief, but enjoyable, time where she earned some extra income as a semi-professional dancer and dance instructor. So when Chantel heard about the opportunity to participate in the filming of the low-budget indie film "Pizza Man vs. the Dude" (2004) that was itself and homage to B-horror she was thrilled to finally be able to, in some small way, be a part of the industry that has brought her so much joy throughout the years. Being able to dance in the scene and combine her two passions at the same time, was just icing on the cake. While not actively attached to the industry she remains a dedicated fan and scholar of cinema. Chantel now lends her time and talents to creators as an editor, and soon to be publisher, for independent authors with her business partner. Chantel resides with her husband of twenty years, and biggest fan, in Boise, Idaho.
