Amari Samya drew a particular interest in classical performance and began performing Shakespeare at the age of eleven. Amari Samya later received her BFA in Theatre Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). As a United States Department of Education Benjamin A. Gilman recipient Samya studied Film Production at the University of Westminster School of Media Arts and Design in London England. Some of Samya's theater credits include Oya In the Red and Brown Water and Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Theater VCU), #00 The Wolves (Cadence Theatre); Sunshine U/s River Ditty A World Premiere (Virginia Repertory Theatre); Stevie How to Bruise Gracefully (Cadence Theatre). Samya made the shift to television and film mid pandemic where she got her first featured background role in Apple Tv's Swagger filmed in Richmond Virginia while still attending VCU. As of 2022 Amari Samya is stationed in Atlanta Georgia as a full-time multi hyphenate performer, producer, and contributor to the entertainment industry. Peers would consider Amari a friend, phenom, coach, confidante, and competitor. Amari loves the saying "I don't wanna be famous. I want to be significant". All glory be to God.
