Léa Luiz de Oliveira is a French - Brazilian filmmaker based in Scotland. While studying at La Sorbonne, she started producing and directing documentaries in order to film the stories that inspired her. She produced three medium-length films in Brazil, Scandinavia and Korea and used them as a way to engage debates around human rights and social issues in different French universities. After graduation, she left to travel and work abroad but decided to go back to Europe to study filmmaking at the Edinburgh College of Art in 2016. "I don't want to call it Home" is her second short and was produced as a part of the 2018 Bridging the Gap scheme.
