Dan Swain is a Canadian actor born in Kitchener, Ontario to his hard working parents Jon Swain and Kelly Krpan. When he was young he moved to Sarnia, Ontario. It was there Dan fell in love with acting and was in several school plays. In high school he put acting on hold and played Football and wanted to pursue a professional career in the CFL. At 21, he moved back to Kitchener, Ontario where he played in the CJFL for the Kitchener Predators. Unfortunately after Dan suffered a knee injury he decided to hang up the cleats. Back in his hometown of Kitchener his love for acting sparked back up. He auditioned in Toronto for a world renowned program in Vancouver, B.C called Studio 58. He headed west and graduated the 3 year conservatory acting program in April, 2019 on the Deans Honor Roll and received the Jean and Walter Ball scholarship for Comedy. In June 2019 Dan made his professional theatre debut in the Vancouver premier of Jez Butterworths play Jerusalem as "Davey Dean" Directed by Kathleen Duborg. Also, in 2019 Dan studied at Canada's National Voice Intensive in Winnipeg, Manitoba with David Smukler. In 2021 he can be seen in the film Blue Hour as The Gas Station guy/thug and in the film Awakening as Hugh. As well in 2021 he was in the film Heart of Gold, directed by Patricia Gruben. In June of 2021 He completed the Uta Hagen Intensive at the Historic HB Studio in New York. He is represented by Brad Mellesmoen of Lucas Talent in Vancouver where he currently resides.
