Kenya was born and raised in our nation's capital, Washington, DC. At a young age, Kenya developed a love for music, modeling and acting and pursued each at various stages in her life. She participated in school plays, fashion shows and sang in the gospel choir and as a solo act in churches and school talent shows. She has done many modeling gigs for runway and hair shows in the DC area, as well as New Jersey. Upon completion of high school, Kenya attended college at Bowie State University and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration. After working successfully in her area of study for many years, she decided it was time to return to one of her first loves, acting. She began networking, researching and submitting to local casting agencies. Eventually, her persistence paid off, appearing in a true crime series on TV One. Since then, she's continued to appear in additional shows for TV One as well as the ID channel, TLC and NBC Universal. Kenya has also been in the independent film "Miss Virginia" and the film short "Delusion". She also has teleprompter skills, often taping many medical videos for hospitals and clinics such as Mayo Clinic. Kenya is looking forward to many more great opportunities in TV and film and would also love to star in a network commercial.
