Biography

After spending the majority of his upbringing in Moreno Valley, CA , Charles Maceo earned an academic scholarship to the prestigious University of California, Irvine. The classically trained actor, initially studying economics, was bit by the acting bug and studied Drama at the renowned Claire Trevor School of the Arts. He graduated from UC Irvine with high honors and taught 5th grade through the Teach for America program while garnering his teaching credentials at Cal State Dominguez Hills. He then moved to New York to begin his professional acting career where he would perform on national and regional tours for two years in productions including Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing (as Don John) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (as Oberon). Other stage credits include August Wilson's Seven Guitars as Red Carter (with Windell Middlebrooks), Deputy Danforth in The Crucible, and Claudius in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.
