Written in front: The analysis of Casino Royale contains serious spoilers, readers are advised to choose to watch carefully.
Casino Royale Act 4 begins:
In a subjective shot, Bond slowly wakes up from a rehabilitation hospital in Lake Como, Italy, and when he opens his eyes, he seems to see Vesper and Mathis.
But obviously Bond has deeply thought that Mathis is a traitor, and then fell asleep again.
Then the screenwriter arranged for Mathis to look like an old god, dressed like a spy and asked Bond:
It can be seen that the movie especially wants to answer the audience's questions. Yeah, why did Mr. White keep Bond and Vesper alive?
The reason is obviously-- money.
Vesper has the account, and Bond has the password. Once the two are combined, 100 million pairs will be distributed.
Afterwards, after various forms of spy speeches, Mathis was stunned by Bond and taken away.
In fact, even if you don't look at it from the perspective of God who has watched Quantum of Solace (Mathis is innocent, and then suffered a helpless electric shock, investigation, and retirement), you can see something obviously wrong from the style of this paragraph.
Because any place that seriously deviates from the overall form and style of the film is a special need for the plot.
For example, here, Mathis dresses like a spy, expresses like a spy (ask Bond did you see the face of the man who killed Le Chiffre? Do you remember any extra circumstances?), acts like a spy (for Bond Poured a glass of unknown water and asked him to drink it), but he was not a spy.
The most different point between Casino Royale and the previous series is that it wants to imitate the Bourne series to give people authenticity. How can it be so obvious here?
Vesper expressed his strong love to Bond. After all, this man will rescue her even if he goes under the sword, and Vesper has fallen in love with Bond.
Before making the transfer, Bond quipped: ‘Don't you have chocolates with you? (This stalk is first of all because Switzerland is the most famous chocolate producer in the world, and its average person eats 12 kilograms of chocolate a year. In short, I like chocolate very much)
Then the money transfer started, and Bond signaled to Vesper that you can enter the password for me.
Then Vesper fell into thought.
James, I just want you to know that if all that's left of your future is a smile or a little finger, you're still the man in my heart more than anyone else. ——Vesper
Bond also responded:
I've got nothing against you, you've taken my armor from me, and whatever's left of me...whatever's left of me, whatever's become of me, I'm yours. ——Bond
After that, Vesper and Bond started a pleasant beach vacation, and the story also explained to the audience that Mathis is innocent.
Bond and Vesper talked about the fact that Mathis was taken away for review, and said their own analysis, thinking that Le Chiffre knew that the tracker in his arm and other details were leaked by Mathis, and felt that this matter deeply touched him. Lesson learned.
Vesper's eyes wandered several times during the conversation obviously due to guilt, but Bond was also obviously confused by love:
Which woman can withstand the love of a man like an imperfect male god, especially if she is the one who made this man so perfect.
But love is destined to be imperfect.
The Bond young couple went around to Venice, and Bond even wrote a resignation application on the yacht:
It was a British-built 'Spirit 54' yacht called 'Soufrière' that was purpose-built for the film and then cruised and raced for the next decade before being refurbished in 2015. As of February 2020, it sold for more than $750,000.
And the Venetian authorities gave the manufacturer permission to sail James Bond's yacht 'Spirit 54' along the Grand Canal between the Academy and the Rialto Bridge. No one remembers the last time a yacht was sailed on the Grand Canal, but it's believed to have been centuries ago.
True love is real, love is real, but unfortunately people are not, the next second the situation began to take a turn for the worse:
Then Vesper showed a disturbed expression, and we could imagine what was going to happen. But before that happened, she and Bond still could have a perfect carnal pleasure, then Vesper got up and said she wanted to go to the bank to collect money for the upcoming trip.
Before leaving, Bond found that Vesper had taken off the necklace symbolizing love, implying that he was really in love with Bond, or that he wanted to make up for his last love unreservedly out of guilt. He just didn’t realize that it was the last snuggle, and then went their separate ways, Vesper went to get money, Bond purchased supplies for the next trip, the two met after half an hour, and then the phone rang, something bad happened:
Then Bond was dumbfounded, because Vesper was from the Ministry of Finance, and if he wanted to save it, he should have saved it on the day they really fell in love. Where did the money go?
While rushing to the bank, Bond called the Swiss banker and asked about the account status. I learned that while we were chatting, the money was being transferred from a bank in Venice.
Vesper deliberately left her phone in the room with a text message saying she was meeting someone in 30 minutes.
Apparently, this Gettler was the same guy Vesper had seen on the river bank earlier.
Bond immediately rushed to the bank, followed Vesper all the way to the meeting place, and confirmed the fact that Vesper was a double agent:
Then the two gangs started a melee, and Bond eliminated the mysterious man and his forces, and sank a building (the visual effects were great)
.
After all the enemies were cleared, Vesper was locked in the elevator, and Bond immediately rescued him, but Vesper seemed to have no intention of surviving, so she locked the elevator and sank into the water with the building. A sip of water made it impossible for Bond to be rescued. The last reliance of the two in the water.
After Bond tried every means to rescue him ashore, Vesper had already lost his heartbeat.
In fact, the death of Vesper Lynd in the movie is different from that in the original novel. In the novel, Vesper commits suicide and leaves a note for Bond, acknowledging her betrayal and promising to love him. But the producers didn't like the last scene in the novel because it was too dramatic, so they chose the ending in the movie to be more realistic.
And Vesper's final ending was seen by Mr. White from a distance, and took away the money Vesper took out.
Vesper has passed away. Mrs. M called Bond and introduced Vesper's investigation results. The results showed that she had a French-Algerian ex-boyfriend. They were very in love before, but the man was kidnapped by the quantum organization one day (it was later confirmed that he directed and acted himself), the purpose is to control Vesper to work for them.
However, it is not that Vesper did not leave something to help Bond on purpose. There must be clues related to the Quantum Organization in her white mobile phone.
It's just that she made our Bond completely distrust anyone, and finally completed the transformation of an agent.
But Mrs. M is still very concerned about Bond's inner growth, she said to Bond earnestly:
James, have you ever asked yourself why you survived that night? Isn't the fact obvious? She made some sort of deal to prolong your life in exchange for the money you have at your disposal. I'm sure she hoped the Quantum would keep her alive too, but she must have known where she was going to die. ——M
Mr. White did say this to Le Chiffre the night the third act ended: For our organization, trust is worth more than money.
Then the reason why Bond and Vesper can survive must be that Mr. White was moved, and then Vesper will use Bond's password to earn this money for the Quantum.
Bond regained his strength after this rhetoric. It has to be said that Mrs. M is very clever. She not only solved her subordinates' knots, so that they would not be violent and world-weary, but also set a new goal for his life, namely:
Track down the Quantum!
Epilogue
In Mr. White's private house near the sea, Bond penetrated his kneecap and successfully captured this important figure of the quantum organization who has been behind the scenes.
Finally, follow the example of Mathis and put down a sentence:
