Doug Deming

Blues guitarist Doug Deming is an accomplished instrumentalist who puts a fresh imagination and energy to vintage styles. Influenced by blues and jazz artists such as T-Bone Walker, Robert Jr. Lockwood, and Charlie Christian, Deming's music has a lively swing and his playing is clean, fluid, and high-spirited whether he's tackling his own material or covering blues classics. Making his recording debut with 2002's Double Down, Deming soon drew an enthusiastic reaction from blues loyalists with his mix of jump blues, swing, and vintage R&B, and his work gained polish and flair with later releases such as 2009's Falling Through the Cracks and 2018's Complicated Mess without compromising his loyalty to classic sounds.
