Dustin Todd Rennells

Dustin Todd Rennells was born September 30, 1981 to Richard Rennells and Nancy Johnston in Marshalltown, Iowa. He grew up in Chillicothe, Missouri, the Home of Sliced Bread. Dustin attended the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University from 2000-2007 with degrees in Fine Arts and further learning in Elementary Education. Dustin had his own catering company, Dustin Rennells Design and his own cupcake delivery service, Bad Boy Bake Shop. Dustin taught at Boston Center for Adult Education for 8 years. Dustin is the costume designer for Anthony Williams' Urban Nutcracker's re-staging in 2015 and served as the Managing Director of the organization from 2015 to 2021. Dustin was an elementary school teacher at Star Academy for the Gifted & Talented in Watertown and Wellesley, MA from 2018 to 2022. In the fall of 2021, Dustin left Boston after 21 years and returned to his hometown of Chillicothe, Missouri and began plans to open his own restaurant, The Parlor Bakery & Cafe. In the summer of 2021 Dustin was selected as one of the top 8 home cooks in the United States, who were also Julia Child super fans, to compete on The Julia Child Challenge on Food Network and Discovery Plus. This adventure jump-started his career in the restaurant industry and allowed for further growth in his desire to have his own show on The Food Network. Dustin is a lover of live theatre and was on the Board of Directors for The Footlight Club, the oldest continuously operating community theatre, located in Boston.
