Ellen was born in San Jose, Costa Rica and came to United States when she was a small child. Ellen did not spoke English until she learn to read lip the age 5 years old and took speech class in University of Tennessee so that she can learn to speak with her amazing voice. Ellen does a lot of projects with the disability and deaf community. Ellen is a great Deaf Advocate to help others who need the "Barrier of Communication". She also interpreter other deaf people as well. She is fluent in ASL Sign Languages. She is proud to be a U.S. citizen. Ellen learned American Sign Languages (ASL) the age of 21 years old from her (now) husband who is deaf and has continued to teach others in ASL Sign languages in class with college students in order to pass their test to become a better Certificated Interpreter. I can become a CDI Certificated Deaf Interpreter for the deaf, hard of hearing or deaf/blind children or adults only if I take a written test in order to get my Certificated if I passed? She teach parents who have deaf children and who are deaf adults or hearing loss who may not know or familiar in Sign Languages or Deaf Culutures. Ellen teach gymnastics too. Her extraordinary patience and exuberant encouragement have earned her a legion of grateful students including thirty actors in a local theatrical production of "Children of a Lessor God" in Stone Mountain, GA. as a Advisor Instructor ASL Sign Languages. She has a rich and varied history of volunteerism as a teacher, peer supporter, leader, Deaf, Hard of hearing and deaf/Blind and Disability Community. advocate, SSP (Service Support Provider) for the deaf/blind and is a member of the GA Association of the deaf. Ellen is a proud wife to William, mother of two children Matthew I(married to Mandy Rice) and Anjelica Rice (single mother) and a grandmother of two beautiful grandchildren Adam Rice and Elena Marsden. She is passionate about teaching others Deaf Culture and History and has been a featured speaker at several county Boards of Education in Georgia. She has performed in countless film, television projects in the Atlanta included in North Carolina. Her First role was in 2010 was the "The Walking Dead" Zombie (Lounge2011), Teen Wolf, House of Payne (Tyler Perry Studio), Zombie Lounge (2011), Headwaters Didja Hear (theatre), Love Doesn't Hurt (theatre), A Jean Affair (theatre) Without Words (theatre) The Heart is a lonely hunter (theatre) Equal Marriage (Music), The Sonic Dead Walk Zombie, They Swim "Zombie", What to Expect when you are expecting, Footloose, Hat Writer, Under the Dome was her biggest hit T.V. series in South Carolina. Ellen can speak and has great voice. She also help other deaf, deaf/blind and hard of hearing to volunteer her time to help others with the disability community. Ellen motto is to work hard and live out your dreams no matter what obstacles you have in your life. Ellen believe that anything is possible a dream come true.
