Nick Pollack

Nick Pollack is an award-winning director, screenwriter, editor, and author based in Sydney. An Australian Director's Guild award winner, Nick has been directing since 2004. He conceives, directs and edits across all platforms, whilst maintaining a strong tie to traditional film-making via commercials, shorts & content. In 2020, Nick wrote 'Joey & Ella: A Kangaroo Tail' for Ace Entertainment, followed by 'Ghoster', & the upcoming 'The Quest For Tom Sawyer's Gold'. He has collaborated with screenwriter Diane Drake ('What Women Want', 'Only You') to co-write an original family adventure script called 'AKA: Nick Claus', and he has over a dozen other feature and TV scripts completed / in development. Through the assistance of Screen Australia and Create NSW, he developed "Any Girl Who Loves The Beatles Is Bound To Break Your Heart", based on his first novel, which was recently selected by Warner Bros as one of the 10 best Australian screenplays of the year on the 'Aussie BlackList' His most recent short film 'And Though The Music Ended, We Danced On Through The Night' premiered at the Napa Valley Film Festival in California in November 2017. He has also won awards for the short film 'The Full Gamut' at several Australian film festivals. As an author, he has published four novels.
