Joey Capuana

Joey Capuana is an LA-based screenwriter, playwright, and author of queer comic book series "Trance" published by Scout Comics and optioned for TV by Prodigal Entertainment. As a 2019 WGAE "Made in NY" TV Writing Fellow, Joey developed pilots and features under mentorships with Soo Hugh (showrunner, "Pachinko") and Abraham Higginbotham (EP, "Modern Family"). Joey specializes in fast-paced comedy, animation, and genre stories that mix raunch and outrageousness with sincerity and heart, while exploring queer and provocative takes on identity and desire.
