Ms. Ferreira's debut feature film, "The Unattainable Story", premiered at the New Directors Competition at 40th São Paulo International Film Festival and Cinequest in Silicon Valley, both in competition. It was acquired by Europa Films in Brazil and Random Media in the US. In 2015, she received the National Association of Professional Women's VIP Woman of the Year award for her profession and the achievement of young women. Besides feature films, Ferreira has directed a variety of purpose-driven content through her production company, Huma. Highlights include work for "Trip Transformadores", which includes nine documentary-style short films for one of Brazil's most influential pop magazines, TRIP; "Siddhartha School Project" in India featuring the Dalai Lama; and co-produced the documentary "Naila and the Uprising" by Julia Bacha, which premiered at DOC NYC in 2017 and will have its national broadcast on PBS as part of the "Women, War & Peace II" series in 2018. Ms. Ferreira, She is also the lead programmer for the narrative section of the Brooklyn Film Festival. Ms. Ferreira is passionate about women's rights and is the co-founder of WIFT/Brazil. She is also an ambassador for Project Zero, an ocean conservation nonprofit organization and is currently the Membership Chair for the Americas Society's YPA (Young Professionals of the Americas) Executive Committee. Previously, she co-founded House of Cards, a company start up that managed talent including film directors, visual effects artists, editors, music composers and digital developers providing creative strategy for content creation across different media platforms.
