Steve Young

Steve Young was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and grew up there during the height of the "troubles". He attended Belfast High School (1970- 1977), and graduated from Manchester University (1980) with an B.SC. (Hons) degree in Electronic Engineering. During the early years of his career he focused on designing digital TV and video systems, and gradually transitioned into the production side of the industry from the mid eighties onwards. Steve has worked in the field of corporate video, shows and events for most of his career, and over the past decade, has been increasingly involved in working on narrative short films in a variety of capacities such as: Director of Photography Lighting Designer Live Sound Recordist Boom Operator Grip/Electric Jib Operator
