Clint Overby was named vice president, ESPN Events, a division of ESPN, in 2016. He previously served as senior director of events since 2006 and is based in the network's Charlotte, N.C. office. Overby oversees the day-to-day management and strategy of the group's 35 owned and operated events. He is responsible for setting the budgetary and sales priorities for the division, while working in creating new opportunities and cultivating current events in support of programming initiatives for ESPN college sports. Overby joined the company in June 2001 as manager of the Big 12 Corporate Partner Program. In 2003, he was promoted to director of events, where he helped manage the growing events division. Prior to ESPN, Overby was a marketing manager for Host Communications in Dallas. A 1996 graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Overby earned a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology and business administration. He then went on to earn a masters of science degree in sports administration from the University of Kentucky. Overby is a native of Waupaca, Wis.
