Tore Johansen (b. 1977) is a Norwegian jazz trumpet player, composer, conductor and educator. He has composed and arranged music for a wide range of ensembles - choirs, symphony orchestras, big bands, wind bands, among others. As a film composer ha had his debut with the short documentary "Oljehausten" (dir. Lars Ankervold) from 2015. In 2016 he was one of six composers making music to the short movie "Generation Mars". The music for "Generation Mars" was recorded by the Norwegian broadcasting orchestra, Kringkastingsorkesteret (KORK). In 2014 he wrote a musical for the opening of the concert hall Stormen in Bodø and he has also written a mass and a requiem that premiered in the Cathedral of Bodø. He has worked with several great jazz artists, among them Kenny Wheeler, Steve Swallow, John Taylor, Arild Andersen, John Surman, Karin Krog and Bugge Wesseltoft. He has also arranged music and played on recordings for a number of Norwegian pop artists such as Espen Lind, Halvdan Sivertsen, Kråkesølv, Lars Bremnes, Maria Solheim, Torun Eriksen and Tonje Unstad.
