Rob Murphy

Rob Murphy is an Australian film maker known for editing the highly acclaimed feature documentary, Defiant Lives (2017) and directing / editing the equally celebrated, Voyage of the Southern Sun (2017). Over a thirty year career Rob has cut dramatic feature films, See Jack Run (1991), The Alive Tribe (1997) & The Real Thing (2002) as well as extensive engagements directing and editing corporate, broadcast TV, music video and short film / pilots. Rob also exercises his passion for film projection as senior projectionist for The Sun theatre in Yarraville where (in 2015) he led the team that found, restored and installed the 70mm projector needed for the Ultra Panavision roadshow release of Quentin Tarantino's, The Hateful Eight.
