A atriz suíça Sunnyi Melles nasceu em Luxemburgo, Luxemburgo em 7 de outubro de 1958 como Judith Szunnyi Melles, filha da atriz húngara Judith Melles (nascida Rohonczy, +2001) e do maestro austríaco Carl (Károly) Melles (+2004). Ela não nasceu princesa, mas depois (1993) casou-se com o príncipe alemão Peter Prinz zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn. Seu nome oficial alemão agora é Judith-Viktoria Prinzessin zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn.
