Vantile Whitfield

Nascido em 8 de setembro de 1930 em Washington D.C. Vantile Emmanuel Whitfield foi o único filho de Lugene Ellen Green e Theodore Roosevelt Whitfield. Vantile tem duas filhas, Bellina Logan, Elizabeth Whitfield e filho Lance Vantile Whitfield. Vantile E. Whitfield foi diretor, professor, dramaturgo, set designer e foi diretor fundador do Programa de Expansão de Artes no National Endowment of the Arts ("NEA") sob Nancy Hanks. No final dos anos 60, ele dirigiu "Watts Gospel Festival" e "Watts Rhythm and Blues Festival" para a KCET-TV em Los Angeles. Ele concebeu, produziu e co-apresentou "From the Inside Out" no Canal 11 em Los Angeles e dirigiu o "The Third Bill Cosby Special" para a rede NBC em 1971.
