Markus Potter é o Diretor Artístico de Produção da NewYorkRep e recentemente atuou como Diretor Artístico Interino do Theatre Aspen.A direção inclui Stalking the Bogeyman off-Broadway at New World Stages (indicação ao Outer Critics Circle Award, escolha dos críticos do NYTimes), Southwark Playhouse de Londres (indicação ao Off West End Award de melhor produção e direção), Red Speedo de Lucas Hnath at Centre Rep (Shellie Indicação ao prêmio), Lost Boy Found in Whole Foods por Tammy Ryan na The Portland Stage Company, Why You Beasting por David Don Miller (escolha do crítico da Time Out NY), Weston Playhouse, North Carolina Stage Company e muitos mais.Como ator, ele trabalhou extensivamente com Guthrie Theatre, Long Wharf Theatre, Berkeley Rep, The Denver Center e The American Conservatory Theatre.Como produtor comercial, ele fez parte da equipe que trouxe para a Broadway a produção do Arena Theatre de Eric Coble, The Velocity of Autumn (indicação ao prêmio Tony de Estelle Parsons).Markus recebeu seu MFA da Columbia University e atua como professor assistente de teatro na University of Kansas.
