Born in Virginia, Dax Spanogle is an actor who has been in shorts, features, plays, musicals, and commercials. Starting at an early age, he began training with the Haddad Studio. His love affair with Shakespeare started with his first play, A Midsummer Night's Dream where he played Snout and The Wall. His second play, Mary Poppins, a musical where he played Bert, did not develop the same love, and thankfully for the audience, he didn't do another musical until moving to Hollywood. Dax continued to study acting during college and performed in two student directed plays, and had the chance to study Shakespeare in Oxford. Dax acted in his first film when he was attending law school, and his acting career continued to gain traction from there. He appeared in shorts as Cupid in Cupidity, Elias in 7 Stones, and Calroy in The Hunting Trip to name a few. The Scrapper was his feature film debut where he had a supporting role as Irish Jim. Under the Boarshead Theater, he appeared in numerous unique takes on Shakespearean plays , most notably, his time as Lady MacBeth was well received. Around this time, Dax met with an agent stationed in Los Angeles, who told him he should try Hollywood, so he packed up and headed out to continue his career. Since being in Los Angeles, Dax has continued to study acting with BGB Studios and Saxon Trainor. He was Dr. Bones McCoy in the theater production Star Trek Battle Bridge: Aroana Infliction as well as a few others, including that other musical. His most known roles since moving to L.A. are the Man in To The Unknown, Andrew in Homebody, and the feature film, Generation Sins, where he plays the younger brother Will. Recently, his television premier aired on Netflix with Medal of Honor. In his off time he writes scripts (he co-wrote Generational Sins and the original concept of To The Unknown), travels, and has started to revisit photography.
